Legacy Projects

We envision a world where Dr. Jose Rizal’s legacy serves as a guiding light for individuals and communities to become catalysts for positive change.

Colorado Springs
July 27, 2025

The Colorado Springs Rizal Monument stands as a completed and enduring tribute to Dr. José Rizal, honoring his legacy of education, freedom, and civic courage. Officially unveiled in Colorado Springs, the monument represents a significant milestone for the Filipino and Filipino-American community, symbolizing shared values of intellectual freedom, cultural pride, and public service.

Installed in a public space, the monument serves as a place of reflection, learning, and community gathering—inviting visitors to engage with Rizal’s enduring influence on social justice, national identity, and global thought.

Reflecting on the collaborative spirit behind the project, Consul General Ferrer shared:

“The Rizal memorial is not a work of one person alone. It is the result of collaboration and the unwavering dedication of many like-minded individuals and organizations who share a common vision: to create a powerful collective impact that echoes Dr. Jose Rizal’s dream of a more enlightened, compassionate, and just world. This effort is a true embodiment of bayanihan—our deeply rooted tradition of community, unity, and shared purpose.”

This monument stands as a lasting testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together to honor history, culture, and shared ideals.

Daly City Sculpture

The Daly City Rizal Monument is currently in the planning and development stage. With the official design rendering unveiled, the project is moving toward its planned construction beside the Gellert Park Library, with a formal unveiling anticipated in late 2026.

This monument honors Dr. José Rizal and represents a shared commitment to preserving history, celebrating Filipino heritage, and inspiring future generations.

Community support is essential to bringing this vision to life. Through collective participation and generosity, we can help transform this planned tribute into a lasting public legacy rooted in education, unity, and cultural pride.
